Wealthy Nakuru Businessman’s Estate to Be Shared Among 20 Lucky Cousins

The late Kariu Nyange, a wealthy businessman and timber manufacturer from Njoro, passed away without a will, leaving behind a vast estate including multiple properties, businesses, and shares.

His estate was initially applied for and granted letters of administration by four of his nephews, who later disagreed on how to distribute the estate.

One nephew, John Wanyange Mwangi, argued that he should be the priority beneficiary due to his mother being Nyange’s heir.

However, the court found that Nyange had no known wife and that he supported all his nephews and nieces equally.

The court directed that the estate be distributed equally among the 20 nephews and nieces.

The administrators were given 30 days to identify the beneficiaries and draw up a clear list of assets left by Nyange.
