The Tana River Youth Policy sensitization has been an eye-opener on opportunities youth can explore

Today, the National Youth Council of Kenya, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme,

Programme – UNDP, Kenya School of Government, and Tana River County Government held a youth sensitization program at Hola Primary School with the goal of realizing youth potential.

Tana River County Government ensures equal allocation and distribution of resources in accordance with the adoption of TanaRiverYouthPolicy. It also conducts an assessment of youth engagement in the county.

Furthermore, the TanaRiverYouthPolicy sensitization has revealed new opportunities for youth to explore and earn a living. As a means of promoting peaceful coexistence, youth should promote social cohesion among themselves.

While speaking to the youth, Madam Vriridiana and Sir Malalim highlighted major issues confronting the youth, such as unemployment, early marriages, and drug and substance abuse. However, very few people are aware of the available opportunities. TanaRiverYouthPolicy sensitization demonstrates available opportunities for youth.

In order to disseminate the TanaRiverYouthPolicy to other members of society, particularly youth, the youth were divided into four groups, each with a specific question to discuss based on the #TanaRiverYouthPolicy.
