Suspect in June Jerop Kangogo Murder Case Released on Sh20,000 Police Bail

Jesse Wafula Walukha, a businessman suspected of murdering government accountant June Jerop Kangogo, has been granted police cash bail of Sh20,000 while investigations continue.

A magistrate’s court in Makadara, Nairobi, ordered his release, stating that he should be released on bond terms like the other two suspects in the case.

The suspects, who are Kangogo’s colleagues, are due to appear in court on April 25, and the prosecutors have instructed investigators to cover outstanding parts of the investigation before deciding whether to charge anyone.

Walukha, who denies the allegations, claims that he had no involvement in Kangogo’s death and did not know her personally.
