Following a busy day of petitioner submissions, the Supreme Court judges have narrowed down the issues that lawyers representing the four dissenting commissioners must address. According to the report shared on social media platforms, the four IEBC commissioners who disavowed Chebukati’s presidential results had raised reversions regarding the commission’s chair Wafula Chebukati’s conduct and treatment.
Concerns include the commissioner’s menial tasks at the Bomas National Tallying Center and Chebukati’s refusal to include them in the tallying process.
According to the report, the commissioners, who will be represented by counsel, will be required to shed more light on the issues raised by the apex court’s seven judges.
Justice Isaac Lenaola asked the Commissioner’s lawyers to explain why they waited until the last moments of the election cycle to protest the alleged opacity of IEBC boss Wafula Chebukati.
