The long-standing tensions between Siaya County Governor James Orengo and President William Ruto have been resolved, thanks in part to the mediation efforts of ODM leader Raila Odinga.
Orengo announced their newfound collaboration during a burial ceremony in Siaya, emphasizing the importance of unity for regional development.
“Together, we are committed to advancing Siaya,” Orengo stated, highlighting a recent meeting with President Ruto on Tuesday where they discussed cooperative efforts for the county’s progress.
Retaining his Tune, Orengo urged leaders to continue in the fight to entrench devolution and strengthen ODM Party as those were the only qualities that would show they truly support Raila.
He exuded confidence that good sense will prevail and development not be sacrificed at the altar of politics.
Raila Odinga echoed Orengo’s sentiments, praising the local community for their support of a government that aims for inclusive progress.
“We have campaigned hard, and now it’s time to reap the benefits of development in our county,” he affirmed.
Addressing the Reunion between him and Orengo,Raila applauded Siaya locals for supporting a broad based government which will bring developments in Siaya through the President William Samoei Ruto.
“For Years we the Siaya locals have struggled in campaigning and that should not go to waste we must also benefit from development in Our county,”Raila Said.

Raila also called on the Luo community to support the current regime and forget about the opposition’s divisive agenda of incitement and brewing discontent.
Raila maintained that there is unity in the ODM Party and insisted that Governor Orengo be supported in order to realize his development agenda for the people of Siaya.
He expressed confidence that collaboration with the national government led by President William Samoei Ruto meant well for the region and would bear fruit.
