Deputy President William Ruto took his political encampment to his own backyard today, as he continues to consolidate his votes and stir up support for his presidential campaign. The UDA leader made a triumphal entrance into Eldored Sports Ground in a never-before-seen way.
The DP was greeted by a massive audience as a show of unity and support from his own backyard, leaving even his political opponents baffled as to how he managed to draw such a large gathering.
Kenyans from all political stripes have responded to the crowd that gathered to hear Ruto speak, with some claiming that a segment of the audience’s photos had been manipulated, putting the blame on Ruto’s political strategist Dennis Itumbi.
On the same day, DP Ruto’s presidential campaign got a boost after a group of Kikuyu chiefs from Uasin Ngishu County backed him as the best candidate to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is slated to step down later this year.
