A few days ago, President Uhuru Kenyatta’s mother, commonly known as Mama Ngina, made headlines for her reaction to Deputy President William Ruto’s comments about her son. Ruto had initially chastised Uhuru Kenyatta for betraying him and Mama Ngina’s wishes. He claimed that the two had been taken to Mt Kenya to do some religious denunciation, which would compel the two to work together even after Uhuru’s term ended.
He was supposed to support Ruto’s presidential bid. Surprisingly, Mama Ngina responded to the allegations by claiming that the DP respected his son and chose to work in the opposite direction. She stated that she will support Raila’s presidential bid.
