Mt. Kenya Governor was forced to change his mind about Azimio chief Raila Odinga’s presidential bid today. This is after the ‘ground’ (the locals he was addressing) became hostile, prompting the governor to respond quickly by avoiding popularizing Raila’s Presidential bid at the rally.
It happened during an Azimio rally led by Said Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi. Who is unable to bear the humiliation of the enraged audience. Those who continued to chant UDA party-related slogans decided to change their tune when it came to popularizing Azimio’s presidential flag bearer.
In his alleged maneuver. Governer Kiraitu urged the audience to refrain from heckling. As he rallied them to vote for him not only for the Meru county top seat, but also for the first Presidential seat. He encouraged them to vote for their preferred candidate.
It is worth noting that Meru county is widely regarded as DP Ruto’s domain. Hence It is difficult to populate a rival candidate in the region. Even for political heavyweights, on whom Raila is relying to propel his campaign in the region.
