The statements, reportedly made on July 11 and 12, 2025, claim that Nyambura has been involved in unethical behavior and has failed to support youth and sports initiatives in the county.
The accusations were spread through her Facebook account and the public group Chuka Sweet Home, leading to public backlash against Nyambura, who asserts that these allegations are unfounded and malicious.
Nyambura’s legal team has expressed that the statements have caused her significant mental anguish and damage to her reputation, portraying her as a selfish and dishonest individual.
They have demanded that Charlie Charlie admit liability and issue a written apology within a specified timeframe.
Simultaneously, the sports sector in Tharaka Nithi is facing scrutiny, with numerous youth programs reportedly inactive and prominent soccer teams struggling due to a lack of support.
