During this election season, vice president William Ruto asked inhabitants to keep peace with one another. Ruto continued to promote his bottom-up campaigns among residents, encouraging them to work hard in order to attain their objectives. Ruto went on to encourage ghetto residents to work together to improve the lives of those who are unable to feed their families.
