According to Azimio La Umoja presidential running partner Martha Karua, DP William Ruto is lying to Kenyans about the majority of his campaign statements.
As he tries to persuade Kenyans to vote for him to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta, Ruto has made a number of promises, ranging from economic recovery to closing the wealth gap.
Karua, on the other hand, claims he is simply being cunning and has resorted to telling lies and making false promises in order to persuade Kenyans to vote for him.
Karua, a former Justice Cabinet Minister, warned Kenyans on Saturday to avoid the DP and his promises, or face the consequences if he ascends to the throne.
“Allow Kenyans to distinguish between hollow promises and genuine pledges that will benefit them in the future; inform Kenyans that all state services require money to be provided, and that choosing individuals who would steal and pillage public funds will result in suffering due to a lack of necessary services,” she said.
Since being revealed by ODM leader Raila Odinga at the KICC on Monday, the Narc Kenya leader has been campaigning for Raila Odinga, the Azimio La Umoja presidential flag bearer.
She urged Kenyans to vote for people with clean records, such as herself and Raila, and warned that their opponents, Ruto and his running mate Rigathi Gachagua, are not known for doing anything good.

This comes as Ruto and his team continue to criticize her choice to deputize Raila as a ruse to dupe the Mt Kenya region into supporting Raila’s candidacy.
