According to the most recent opinion poll conducted by Statistics Kenya, Azimio Presidential candidate Raila Odinga is the most popular presidential candidate as the August general elections approach.
In a poll that included three presidential candidates, Raila Odinga of Azimio, William Ruto of UDA, and George Wajackoya of Roots Party, the poll results show that if elections were held today, Raila Odinga of Azimio would win. According to the poll, Raila Odinga leads the race with 51 percent of the vote, followed by Kenya Kwanza’s candidate William Ruto with 39 percent and George Wajackoya of Root’s Party with 7 percent. According to the poll, 3% have yet to decide who to vote for.
In terms of popularity in Kenyan regions, Raila leads Nyanza with 92 percent, Ruto with 4 percent, and Wajackoya with 3 percent.
Raila is the most popular in the Eastern region, with 70% of the vote, followed by William Ruto with 23% and George Wajackoya with 5%.
Raila is the most popular in the coastal region, with 49 percent, followed by Ruto with 37 percent and Wajackoya with 9 percent.
Raila Odinga is the most popular in the central region, with 54% of the vote, followed by William Ruto (43%), and Wajackoya (2%).
Raila Odinga is the most popular in the Western region, with 62 percent of the vote, followed by William Ruto with 30 percent and George Wajackoya with 7 percent.
In the northern region, Raila is the most popular with 62 percent, followed by William Ruto with 37 percent and Wajackoya with 1 percent.
William Ruto is the most popular candidate in the Rift Valley region, with 55% of the vote, followed by Raila Odinga (37%), and Wajackoya (6%).
