As the country prepares for the general elections on August 9th, political tensions are high. Raila Amollo Odinga and Dr. William Samoei Ruto are the two most talked-about presidential candidates on every social media platform.
The Rift Valley region’s Bomet county is a stronghold of Deputy President Dr. William Samoei Ruto and the Kenya Kwanza Alliance team. Former Bomet County governor Isaac Ruto defected from the National Super Alliance (NASA) led by Raila Amollo Odinga and joined the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
The poster for Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition Presidential candidate Raila Amollo Odinga and running mate Martha Karua has been removed in Bomet County.
This comes shortly after Ruto’s billboard was demolished in Raila’s stronghold of Kisumu County.
Almost all aspirants in Bomet County are running on a UDA ticket led by Dr. William Samoei Ruto for various elective political positions.
