This comes after he was impeached by both the Nairobi County Assembly and the Senate for egregious misconduct in office while serving as Governor of Nairobi. Mike Sonko has risen through the ranks of Nairobi politics, serving as a Member of Parliament, Senator, and Governor.
Mike Sonko’s hunting grounds may shift to the Coast Region, where he was born and bred, after the 2022 elections. This is especially true in Mombasa, where he recently opened the VIP Volume Lounge, a multimillion-dollar club.
Mombasa is clearly an excellent hunting field for Sonko, especially because the Mombasa Governor’s seat will be vacant due to the constitution’s prohibition on Governor Joho challenging his seat.
