The pointman for Deputy President William Ruto has disclosed why the DP’s allies are opposed to the political party’s amendment bill, detailing how the bill will harm the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

Kericho County Senator, Hon Aaron Cheruiyot, revealed that they are against the political parties bill during an interview with one of the local TV stations, KTN News, on Tuesday morning, February 15th, 2022. Part of the law was widely touted and is based on certain assumptions and misinformations, according to Cheruiyot.
The member went on to say that if the bill is passed, it will undermine the DP Ruto-led UDA’s popularity across the country ahead of the August elections.
“Part of the law was largely touted as the achilles that will hurt UDA in terms of its popularity. People imagine that a bad law can only be bad for one section of Kenyans, however, it affects all sections,” Senator Aaron Cheruiyot said.
