Kenyans are paying their final respects to late former President Mwai Kibaki, who died on Friday, April 23, 2022, nine years after leaving power.
The Late President’s body is in Parliament, and Kenyans will pay their final tributes to him for the next three days, beginning today and ending on April 27th, led by the current Head of State.
Chief Justice Martha Koome arrives at Parliament for the public viewing of late President Kibaki’s body, where President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to lead Kenyans in paying their final tribute to the late President.
CJ Martha Koome, Senate majority leader Samuel Poghisio, Governors Mwangi Wa Iria, John Lonyangapuo, Charity Ngilu, and Ann Waiguru are among the government officials who have paid tribute to former President Mwai Kibaki in Parliament.
IG Hillary Mutyambai and retired Major General Mohammed Hussein Ali have also arrived at the Parliament Buildings.
