The Deputy President of Kenya, William Ruto, met with a group of leaders today at his official Karen office. His meeting comes as Raila Odinga and his Chief Cabinet Secretary nominee, Kalonzo Musyoka, flew out of the country yesterday to visit the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
It is unclear whether Raila Odinga is visiting the Democratic Republic of the Congo as the African Union’s High Representative for Infrastructure or in a personal capacity. Ruto, on the other hand, intends to host women’s groups from across the country at Nyayo Stadium.
Ruto can be seen in photos shared by Dennis Itumbi leaving a meeting with Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, UDA Secretary General Veronicah Maina, and Kandara MP Hon Alice Wahome.
The Kenya Kwanza Alliance flag bearer, the Deputy President, will host women leaders at Nyayo National Stadium in an event dubbed the Kenya Kwanza Women Charter. The event is intended to bring together women from across the country in order to lay out a plan for how the Kenya Kwanza Alliance team will care for them if they win the August Presidential election.
