Hon Kanini Kega of Kieni, Hon Faith Gitau of Nyandarua, and Hon Jeremiah Kioni of Ndaragwa, among other allies of President Uhuru Kenyatta, have once again sent clear signals and indications that they are still afraid to associate themselves with Raila Odinga and his Azimio la Umoja Movement.
This comes after an explosion of confirmed reports that, contrary to popular belief, Raila’s photo and Azimio colors were missing when Karua visited Nyeri on Friday, with only President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party color visible.
According to an exclusive video clip obtained by this writer, only Martha Karua and a few other female leaders can be seen wearing blue caps and Azimio T-shirts, indicating that Uhuru’s latest command to have his allies market Azimio fell on deaf ears.
At the same time, the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) has requested that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) deny Kalonzo Musyoka the right to run for president on a Wiper party ticket.
ORPP requested that the Wafula Chebukati-led commission not clear Kalonzo because his party was still a member of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party.
