Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika has chastised President Uhuru Kenyatta for his latest outburst against Deputy President William Ruto.
During a speech at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday during Labour Day celebrations, the President took aim at the DP, accusing it of endlessly opposing his Jubilee Government rather than offering solutions.
While daring the country’s number two to resign as Deputy President, a visibly irritated Uhuru questioned why Ruto refers to himself as a senior member of the Government while continuing to criticize the very administration he serves in.
In a quick retort, Kihika slammed the Head of State, claiming that Uhuru had always looked down on his deputy and key allies.
The Nakuru Governor-elect was quick to remind Uhuru of how they were removed from powerful positions in Parliament during the 2020 purge on Ruto allies in the Senate and National Assembly leadership.
The Senator claimed that the President made his own bed and that he should now lie in it, despite the fact that she insisted that Ruto had been pushed out of the Jubilee Government leadership.
