Popular presenter Willis Raburu has officially announced his departure from Royal Media Services (RMS) after dedicating 13 years to the company. Raburu submitted his resignation earlier this month and will conclude his tenure on June 30th, 2023.
Expressing gratitude in a farewell message, Raburu acknowledged the opportunities provided by his former employer and expressed appreciation to his colleagues for their unwavering support throughout the years.
Reflecting on his diverse experiences, he stated, “I have done interviews with sitting Presidents, I have traveled and covered Kenya’s maiden entry into war in Somalia, I’ve read the news, I’ve done different types of stories… I’ve done it all.”
Raburu, renowned for hosting the popular Friday night entertainment show “10 Over 10,” which focuses on music, dance, and content creation, joined the station in 2010. Over the years, the show has gained significant prominence.
In addition to his departure, Raburu announced the upcoming release of his book titled “Undefined.” The book chronicles his experiences, particularly in the media industry, over the past decade. Raburu mentioned that the book is available for pre-order.
While continuing his pursuit of a Master’s degree at the United States International University (USIU), Raburu expressed his intention to take a break and carefully plan his next move. Describing himself as an influencer, media personality, and digital and communications consultant, he emphasized his commitment to creating content for YouTube and social media platforms.
“I’m gonna take a breather, step back, look at everything, share the knowledge I’ve learned in my book,” Raburu stated.
