White House grounds infiltrated by curious toddler

On Tuesday, a small intruder breached the White House grounds, prompting a prompt response from the US Secret Service, according to Anthony Guglielmi, the Chief of Communications.

The toddler crawled through the north fence of the White House, which set off security alarms. Guglielmi explained that the “curious young visitor” was quickly reunited with their parents after Secret Service officers were alerted by the White House’s security systems.

This isn’t the first time a toddler has crawled through the fence, as a similar incident occurred in 2014, causing a temporary lockdown and delaying a briefing by then-President Barack Obama.

Edwin Donovan, a former spokesman for the Secret Service, joked that they had planned to wait for the toddler to learn to speak before questioning them, but instead gave them a timeout and sent them on their way with their parents.
