Ndii Explains how Kibaki Mismanaged Politics and Lost Economically

Renowned Kenyan economist David Ndii has criticized former President Mwai Kibaki’s management of politics during his tenure, saying it had a negative impact on the country’s economy.

Ndii, who was a key figure in the opposition National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition in the 2017 general election, said that Kibaki’s government was preoccupied with consolidating power instead of implementing economic reforms.

“Kibaki mismanaged politics and we lost economically,” Ndii tweeted.

Ndii, who has been a vocal critic of the government, also blamed the current administration for failing to address the country’s economic challenges.

He said that Kenya’s economic growth has been hindered by poor governance, corruption, and lack of investment in key sectors such as education and healthcare.

The economist urged Kenyans to demand accountability from their leaders and push for reforms that prioritize the well-being of citizens.

Ndii’s comments come at a time when Kenya is grappling with a myriad of economic challenges, including high inflation, unemployment, and a widening income gap.
