Nothern Sub-Location, Kisumu-Central Sub-County Assistant Chief John Ogilo Migun has revealed the reason behind his eye-catching moves dancing to a popular hit in an entertainment joint late last year.
John Ogilo became the talk of town when his recorded video spread like wild fire across all social media platforms dancing to the ‘Kuna Kuna’ tune during the December 2022 festive season.
In the video, the administrator is seen perfectly moving his body with the beat of the particular song to the amazement of the viewers.
Speaking to a local television station on Monday, Migun explained that the video was randomly shot when had gone for a meal at a local joint while conducting an “undercover investigation” on drug consumption.
“The video was totally random I had not planned for it. We had finished doing our patrol and in the evening we went to have late lunch then we entered there where we were conducting some undercover investigations on drug abuse,” said Migun.
Migun further narrated that the video has made his work easier through interacting with the youth and the general public along his line of duty in the fight against consumption of drugs in his area of jurisdiction.
“It has definitely created a better interaction with the youth because they now come to my office because of the video. They are now free to talk to me about things that bother them including the consumption of drugs. They give me information like yesterday morning I did a raid because of the same,” he said.
“The video has allowed me to interact with people a lot and I can now easily get intelligence reports.”
Meanwhile, cases of drug and substance abuse are normally on a high during Christmas and end year celebrations across the country and beyond.
