Mbuvi, Mike Sonko has broken the Kenyan tradition of running for political office only in one’s home county. Sonko appears to be making a comeback in politics with the help of the Wiper Party.
Sonko faded into obscurity as a mere social media influencer after an unceremonious exit from Nairobi County. His witty jokes and big heart kept him relevant even after he spent a few weeks in Kamiti.
Sonko, on the other hand, has already thrown his competitors into disarray since entering Mombasa politics. Sonko, armed with his money and a soft tongue, has persuaded a few people in Mombasa to consider his rule over the wealthy county.
His promise to make Mombasa comparable to Dubai, as well as the abolition of corruption, nepotism, and bribery at the Mombasa port, has given him an advantage. Sonko has now redirected his Sonko Rescue Team (SRT) to Mombasa in order to cement his love for the people of Mombasa.
His trailers, buses, ambulances, and fire station vehicles have all been dragged to Mombasa, where the former governor intends to settle.
